|
Duties &
responsibilities |
-
The members of
the Board of Directors have been elected by the membership to represent
the membership in directing the management of the Cooperative.
-
The Board of
Directors has as one of its major responsibilities the continued
corporate existence of the Cooperative. In carrying out this
responsibility, the Board sets the direction for the Cooperative, sees
that resources are available, provides the necessary guidelines through
policy to management and establishes the necessary controls to assure
that satisfactory results are achieved and information is provided for
Board planning.
-
The Board
achieves results through the General Manager & CEO. The General Manager
& CEO serves as the chief resource person to the Board, providing
information, recommendations and assistance to the Board to enable the
Board to fulfill its responsibility to the membership of the
Cooperative.
-
The Board and
General Manager & CEO make up the top management team of the
Cooperative, and as such maintain a close working relationship, giving
and receiving information to assure decisions affecting the Cooperative
are made in a timely manner and move the Cooperative in a positive
direction toward achieving its objectives.
