Meet the Director - Kim Docter

Northwestern REC holds nominating meetings in the early spring time. In 2007, the following Cooperative member was elected by the membership to serve on Board of Directors. Her term will last three years.

Kim Docter - District 6

Mrs. Docter was elected to the Board in 2007. In the short time she has been on the Board, Kim has completed all of the classes required to obtain her Certified Director Credentials. Kim is a graduate of Villa Maria College, where she was honored by the PA Institute of Certified Public Accountants for excellence in accounting.

She is presently employed part-time as the office manager for KDL Industries, a machine shop in Cambridge Springs. In addition, she is in her second term as the Rockdale Township Tax Collector and substitutes several days a week for the PENNCREST school district. In the past, Kim had a successful home daycare for 16 years.

Kim attends the Millers Station United Methodist Church where she has been a member since 1984. She currently holds the position of Treasurer and is on the Board of Trustees. Recently, she served as Chairman of the Building Committee during the construction of a new fellowship hall. She is a twenty-three year member of the Erie Motorcycle Club, holding at different times the offices of President, Treasurer and Secretary. Currently, Kim also serves as the newsletter editor for the Western PA Retreads.

Kim resides in Cambridge Springs with her two children: Kristopher and Emily. She has been a co-op member since 1985.
