Meet the Director - Dave Rectenwald

Dave Rectenwald District 7 Director

Northwestern REC holds nominating meetings in the early spring time. On August 2, 2008, the following Cooperative member was re-elected by the membership to run for the District 7 seat. His term will last three years.

Dave Rectenwald - District 7

Long time Titusville resident, Mr. David Rectenwald was first elected to the Board in 2005 and is a Credentialed Cooperative Director. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Geology (minor of Physics) from Allegheny College and a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from Gannon University. He also received a Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Science from Gannon University.

Mr. Rectenwald is employed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as an Environmental Scientist. Prior to this position, he served as an inspector and consultant for the US EPA. Also during this time, David held Scientist positions with companies out of Massachusetts and Maryland. After graduating from Allegheny College, Mr. Rectenwald worked as store manager for the Republic Supply Company in Titusville.

Mr. Rectenwald currently serves as President of the Titusville YMCA Board of Directors and as Treasurer for the Titusville Rod and Gun Club. He and his family are members of Saint Titus Catholic Church.

David and his wife, Stephanie, reside in the Titusville area and have three children, Amanda, Andy, and Edward.
