Mr. Wineland was elected to serve as a Northwestern REC director in 2000. Having completed the required courses, Ron is a Credentialed Cooperative Director and has attained his Certificate in Board Leadership. Born and raised in Meadville, Ron attended Case Western Reserve and developed a career in electronics. Working for Ott's Radio & TV as a teenager, Ron installed one of the first televisions in Crawford County at the Evergreen's Restaurant. Ron has worked for NBC in Cleveland and was later employed by the space program at Cape Canaveral. Ron later returned to Meadville and worked for Motorola as a Zone Manager. After Motorola, Ron became a self-employed communications consultant until his retirement. Ron has served Vernon Township as an appointed Supervisor, and on the Zoning and Hearing Board, as well as with the Sanitary Authority. He is a member of Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer, Pines Lodge #498 and A.M. and is a lifetime member of Vernon Central Hose Ron and Lois, his wife, have been married for 52 years |
